Tips in reviewing for the Nursing Board Exam (PNLE)

Preparing for the board exam is not that easy, it takes a lot of courage, perseverance and hardwork.  Its just like a training before facing a war. I understand its hard but less assured when you take it seriously and by heart you'll able to overcome it. Here are some tips I applied when I was reviewing for the board exams:

*Manage your time. You can create a schedule or plan of activities. You can schedule every subjects with an aloted time. Time is crucial, time important, time is your enemy.

*You can review atleast 3 hours a day, excluding the time in your review class.

*Dont be absent, late or sleep in your review class.. you might miss some important lessons that may come out to your exam.

*Eat healthy foods, take some vitamins and exercise.. Sickness can be an element of destruction.

*Refrain from watching tv, music and lessen your surfing hours. If music can aid you... you can do so.

*Lessen hang outs and chitchats with friends, can be in medium of text, phone calls and chat.

*Have enough sleep and rest.. if you are reviewing for 2 hrs have yourself a rest for 15 mins.

*Dont study near or where you can see your bed.. there will be a mentality or tendency for you to become sleepy.

*If much as possible you can try reviewing during early morning.. where your mind is fresh and no one will dare to disturb you.

*Refrain from listening from loud and rock music.. you may try listening to classical and relaxing music.

*You can post your notes or signages in your room for you to be reminded about your lessons and exam.

*Post also a calendar in your room.. mark the exam date and cross out the passed days.. for you to know the remaining days.

*When reviewing time yourself with an alarm clock or a timer.. for you to be aware of the time.

*Dont be felt pressure, if you're tired dont force yourself lesson wont sink to your mind.. panicking and cramming wont help also.

*Dont settle with your book or review notes or lessons.. take some time to answer past board  questions.. for you to be aware what board exam questions are and what strategies you'll make while  answering it.

These are just my suggestions and practices that you can apply when reviewing for the board exam.. just enjoy it, take it one at a time and take it as a challenge.. The things you work hard for, are the things you deserve and goals that you'll achieve. Hope it can help.....
